Devils Aide
Her voice in velvet darkness
echoed where he knelt in quiet nakedness
spellbound by the moon in her eyes
touched by her shadow that lies
on grainy wood and satin sheets
softly kissed by lips ever sweet
her beckoning mouth capturing his soul
He remembered a warning told
about her evil wandering spirit
and vulgar nocturnal habit
but chose to not believe
in her power to deceive
Her long black hair, breeze blown
fingernails of ebony hard as stone
this dark angel, not virtues' friend
an object of delight to lament
Now, with fire shooting from her fingertips
and her smile framed by carbon lips
he realizes that she's not from mortal soil
'Tis too late to reject and foil
this wicked witch in disguise
that lays in his bed flashing red eyes
