Intersection
At the intersection
of color and light
there is no interaction
between black and white
subtle colors appear in sight
like blooming flowers
in a field of light
that grow beneath Springtime showers
Shadows grey become trapped
by confining window screens
they linger between shutter gaps
like specters exposed to random breezes
and when light floods through windows
it spreads colors full of beauty
shocking our awareness with neural blows
while inherent whiteness shades reality
At the intersection
of black and white
the divide encourages isolation
that sequesters color from the light
humanity savors life full of color
and when color and light intersect
it brings reality somewhat closer
to be universally absorbed without regret
