The Illusion of Time
When the richness of moments
is captured without comment
it settles in memory
to remain frozen for eternity
Time with its vague motion
passes without much emotion
it lingers during life's years
without concern or care
Ownership of this time essence
while we live in its presence
is vaguely understood by the mind
that creates its passing vision sublime
Personal desires bring to our senses
the hope of heavenly promises
as they become mindful concerns
while time continues to elapse and burn
'Tis only when forgotten voices
dispense warm comforting choices
that time becomes set in stone
to remain there for us to own
