Lakeshore Life
Pink pastels reflect and scatter
on a liquid mirror filled with color
sails flutter in the gentle breeze
as dawn peeks through the leafless trees
Whilst her neighbors sleep
grateful eyes focus on waters deep
Todays new life is a welcomed scene
as waves advance and time creeps
She allows her awakening to rule her joy
consumes shadows cast on the nearby shore
absorbs the melody of crystal rolls crashing
and accepts the comfort of todays morning
Her spirit floats on lakeshore foam
it soars above her cottage home
she surrenders to life freshly new
and cherishes the lakeshore view
