Defunctiveness
Kiss me not softly when I'm dead
just whisper a prayer in my ear instead
comfort my spirit leaving this reality
as it voyages towards its destiny
Close my eyes now fixed and still
for they no longer see light at will
they are useless in your world of color
and must prepare for darkness under
Stare not at my ashen face
for I've left this place
fix your sorrowful gaze upward slowly
and feel my soul dancing playfully
Shed not tears for my present state
rejoice in memories to compensate
I'll exist in your mind more often
and die for sure when forgotten
Now, I'll quietly return to atomic form
to renew natures' elementary norm
My substance will remain in words written
to be absorbed by descendants begotten
